Details have been published for the Sept 18, 2011 autocross at CVTC West campus. See the CVSCC Autocross - 2011 Grand Prix West page for more details. REGISTRATION OPENS ON AUGUST 18. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged and requested, plus you save $5. If there are still spots available, day of 'at the gate' registration is also an option. |

Thanks to all the members that participated in Summerfest this last Saturday. CVSCC met some new car enthusiast in the area and we're hoping to see more local folks at the September 18th Autocross.
<--- Don't forget we have a meeting next week at the Maple Manor in Eau Claire at 7PM. This will be a regular meeting. We'll discuss the idea about a cruise for the September meeting (Like the one we did in July). We'll also discuss about participating in Nitro Fest in Rock Falls the Friday and Saturday before our September Autocross. There are a few other topics up for discussion as well!

Our members will have a few of their cars entered in Eau Claire's Summerfest 2011 Car Show. This is on August 6th in Downtown Eau Claire from 10am to 10pm. Along with the cars we will have a table setup with our club information. Feel free to stop by and show us some love.

forget next Tuesday (19th) is our July meeting. We will meet at the
Maple Manor Lounge at 6:30pm and head out from there. The plan is to
drive to La Grander’s Drive-in near Lake Wissota. July meeting will start with a road trip to LaGrander’s Drive-in on
Lake Wissota, where we will have a short meeting while enjoying some of
the best drive-in fare in Wisconsin. The club will contribute $5.00 to
the tab for each member attending.

Luther Midelfort has announced the dates for the spring Teen Driving Class (April 16) and the adult/coaches class (March 27). See the Car Control Class page for details. CVSCC members are again needed to help coach the students in their vehicles, sign up for the coaches class if you have not done this before, past attendees are asked to help with the coaches class or can take it as a refresher if needed. |

Attention all CVSCC Members (and potential members):
This Tuesday, Feb 15 is our first meeting of 2011. As with most of our past meetings it will be held at Maple Manor at 7pm. The agenda will include going over a couple of Met
Council rule updates/changes including an official kart class at Met
Council events and updating helmet requirements to Snell 2005 to
discuss. A tentative event calendar including autocross schedule will also be reviewed. The featured presentation will be from Shane Donahue, Chief of Timing from MAC, regarding some new events and cross promotion. The idea is to cross-promote our
autox events with drag racing events attended by the MN Sport Compact
Club as a new trophy series.

 Be sure to register in advance for this weekend's autocross.
Doing so in advance will save you $10 and help the registration process
go much faster. Plus, you'll have more time to walk the course and
prepare. |

Our next meeting
will be held on Tuesday, July 20. Join us for our Outdoor Movie Night and cookout. Luke & Eileen Howard
will be hosting this event at their home. We will have a short
meeting at 6:30, followed by a cookout and viewing of "Truth In 24"
the acclaimed documentary about the Audi Team at the 2008 24 Hours of Le
