CVSCC is exploring both Slack and Discord for another possible communication method with and between our members. Our phpbb based forum was removed years ago so a Facebook group was created meant to fill that gap. However, the lack of threads causes historical reference content to get lost and Facebook isn't great for event planning coordination or voting. Thus these trial options are being looked into. Discord traditionally has been geared towards gaming with voice chat option vs Slack which has been geared towards business. Please do let us know your feedback on these options, thanks!
CVSCC is sponsoring a FREE event for all paid members, providing pizza and 3 hours of fun at Action City with focus on their indoor go kart track. Event is on Tue Jan 15 starting at 6pm with pizza provided around 6:30.
Not a yet a paid member? No problem, just signup and pay that night. $20 for individual annual CVSCC membership gets you over $20 value in pizza and play time, plus membership into the club for a year. "Membership" via the Facebook page or group is considered a Casual/associate membership and is not eligible for entry in this event, but you can upgrade and be admitted! Reminder - those who attended the Nov 13 meeting and helped with planning received a full annual membership and are considered a paid member. Sign up HERE and reserve your spot! For the past 2-4 years our primary communication method has been Facebook, but after a "what's next" meeting this website may become a more frequent secondary method of communication. However, for the moment please still refer to the pages/groups below and look for latest posts or see upcoming events. Overall we recommend you "like" us on Facebook and join the related Facebook group.
